We’re a little behind schedule with our updates and winners announcement because Bobo ran off and ate the update we had spent the last week and a half preparing.

After dealing with our city’s health inspector, we are being forced to limit the number of monkeys taking outside coffee breaks to just 10 per hour. This has gotten the entire typing team in an uproar and many of our monkeys are starting to show all the signs of caffeine withdrawal. I mention this only so you’ll understand if you start to find some odd thing being typed by your monkey or certain letters repeated more than others. Please be patient as we are currently appealing this decision and, at the same time, working on establishing a roof-top coffee bar with paid masseuse.

Of course, all this construction, appeals, legal wrangling, etc. only cost us more bananas. Which, if you’ve been following our news feed, are in danger of becoming extinct in 10 years.

To help this situation (our lack of funds, not banana extinction), we’re pleased to announce a brand new t-shirt at MonkeyGoods.com. Our all new “i like monkeys” t-shirts are now available for purchase in Small through X-Large sizes! Support this important research.

Our latest news feed contest for a brand new Game Boy Advance Monkey Pack is very much up for grabs. Only three monkeys have submitted news or links. To track this feature, we added a new “Top Contributors” box to the left side of the web site. Come on monkeys, we’re offering a Game Boy Advance Monkey Pack! All you have to do is submit monkey related news, stories or links to win. No monkeys typing, no poop, just the news (or links).

Finally, in the world of politics, I am planning a cross-country, hybrid car tour sometime in September to stump for the campaign (no joke). If you’re interested in meeting me in person and finding out why I should be the next president, please visit my campaign site and make a contribution. Even at 50 to 60 miles per gallon, it’s still going to take a lot of gallons to drive across this vast country of ours.

We’ll be announcing last month’s Typing Challenge winners in a few days. Stay tuned.
