Susan Olsen and Allan Havey

The Internet - In an odd twist of fate, SIMI Project founder Dr. Adam Safran, became the focus of an interview by one of his greatest childhood influences - Cindy Brady. Dr. Safran’s recent presentation of the Prove It! Award to Samuel Shreiber was the catalyst for the interview and Dr. Safran spent almost 15 minutes of Internet air time discussing the award and the goals of the SIMI project with actress Susan Olsen and Comedian Allan Havey as part of their H20 radio show.

“I wasn’t really sure why such a serious topic was being discussed on a comedy program,” said Dr. Safran. “However, I’ll leave those decisions to our marketing department. I’ve been told that any and all publicity is good for the project.”

After first announcing the Prove It! award, the SIMI project marketing staff wasted no time in exploiting the award for everything it was worth. “Nothing beats the kind of press you can get from giving awards to kids,” said Joe Merchent, of Merchent and Merchent Public Relations. “I’ve been trying to get those jerks at the SIMI Project to give out awards every month. They finally listened and, ba-bang! The calls start pouring in!”

During the interview, which was scheduled for about 5 minutes but ended up taking almost 15, Dr. Safran was asked about several topics including monkey disicpline (monkey spanking) and his weekend plans.

You can hear the entire interview for yourself at Comedy World.
